Jorge Fanis

A career from concept to completion

Jorge Fanis, a Uruguayan set designer and designer, spent twenty years developing projects for television, brands, retail businesses and entertainment spaces. His work has encompassed every stage of the process: from the initial concept, design and drawings through production and final installation.

At the helm of DITEGRAF, his company, he guided each project from the initial idea through to completion and final installation.

Television, brands and spaces

Much of his career was spent in television. For ten years, through DITEGRAF, he was responsible for the design and development of sets for Tenfield, GolTV and VTV, using a turnkey approach: design, construction drawings, selection of materials and suppliers, coordination with workshops and production teams, and final installation. He created spaces for news, debates, magazine shows, sports programs and international coverage. Some of those sets are still on air today.

In parallel, he developed custom stands, displays and furniture for brands such as GE, Philips, Sony and 3M, signage for institutions such as Banco República, and projects for retail spaces and residential furniture, from display cases to kitchen cabinets.

Each of those projects had different demands. What they shared was the need to think about how the design would be built, installed and used.

Today, in Miami

That experience is the foundation of TAVI LLC, which offers interior improvements, installations, maintenance and design for homes, properties and businesses in Miami-Dade and Miami Beach.

For Jorge, a job well done does not depend on its size. Every repair, installation or improvement receives the same attention: understanding what the client needs, caring for the details and delivering a well-finished result.
